I’m Ashley Hazzard and I write edifying stories. I am interested in timeless and groundbreaking plot lines, and characters that cause us to reect and examine our own carnality. Life is but a vapor. What are we doing to connect with that which is everlasting, that was before us and will be after us? I am interested in writing internal dialogue that happens in the heat of a moment or an anxious thought. I am interested in writing stories that have never been told and showcasing voices that have never been heard. I write music rooted in the spirit that connects audiences with a move of God and causes them to interrogate their own relationship with that Power. My work is rooted in truth above all else, unabashed healing truth that often goes unspoken. I want my music to be a sweet balm on the ears of all who hear it and to draw peace for a moment that leads to an encounter with the presence of God.

My music has been called emotionally evocative. I am a writer, a fablist, and a songstress. I want to write stories based on the range of unique experiences I’ve had in my own life and spin them into ctional narratives that are engaging for all. Not relatable per say, but unique and compelling nonetheless because of that specicity. I reject cliches, generalizations, and stereotypes. I believe that each person is a blank canvas colored by their unique experience, apart from race, gender, or even assigned religion and central and far above each of these bodies is our spirit. I want to explore the supernatural and the Heavenly realm, and what it means to exist as a dual citizen of Heaven and earth. I want to cause people to question their associations with people based on the stereotypes they’ve internalized and begin to see each person uniquely. I want to write work that has double meanings for peopletodraw. Iwanttowritemodernparablesthatgivepeopleachancetoseeathreadanduncoverit.
